Midnight Fridge Light

In the cool glow of midnight's breath,
I find the fridge's light a gentle pause
Reflecting on the day’s quiet echoes,
While shadows of the past linger softly
Across the yard, where clothesline sways,
Memories hang like forgotten garments,
In the stillness, I hear my own heart

The chill of night whispers old stories,
Each pause a chance to breathe again,
The pages of time turned with care,
As the light hums a familiar tune,
I let go of the weight I've carried,
In forgiving, I find a gentle release,
And peace settles without needing words
